The Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Accra, which originally opened in 1960, shortly after Ghana gained independence in 1957, was closed in 1981, due to budgetary reasons.
The Turkish Embassy in Accra has re-opened as of 1st of February, 2010, and Ambassador Kenan Tepedelen has presented his credentials to His Excellency John Evans Atta Mills, President of the Republic of Ghana, on 20th of May 2010.
Our Embassy is also accredited to the Republic of Liberia and the Republic of Sierra Leone.
The Office of the Commercial Counsellor operates within our Embassy.
